For sure mate, hope to see you at some upcoming track days... keep an eye on the motorsport threadsOriginally posted by Rob_R View PostI won't be tracking alot but maybe come to a track day here and there for some fun and meet up with you guys. And yeh I'm surprised how much twist the chassis has.
I am sure the issue doesnt lie elswhere, dont want to get him worried. I may be making the chassis sound worse than what they realy are but as far as I am concerned if you can hear the slightest creek noise from a car when entering a drive way then that is enough to be considered sloppy.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostI am surprised Rob_R, I get little to no creaks.. So I dont think the issue lies elswhere it is just the nature of our platform. The brace should sort it out enough.

That's cos the MkV is a REAL driver's car and not the soft poser that the VI isOriginally posted by Candyman View PostOur current MKV GTI creaks on unlevel ground and It definitely is movement in the chassis but interestingly the R we test drove on similar ground did not

As I said I don't experience it.. I would just be suggesting that he may have alignment issues or he could use some of these silicon sprays.. I would be investigating those before spending big on something that although is strengthening is just masking the issueCurrent Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist

Yep, left rear hangs in the air as I go in the driveway. The servo is actually on a fairly busy road in Willoughby and is opposite a Porsche dealership. I can't imagine how they'd go getting a GT2/3 in the driveway.Originally posted by Rob_R View PostAs in not touching the ground? LOL - currently watching an old episode of TGUK - the one where JC drives the R35 (the one they call the new Datsun 120Y) and surprise, surprise, JC says that it is boring as bat **** to drive. He gets that it is a technological tour de force but he says that is has "no soul" and ugly. Spend $150-180K on an ugly car that is "meh" to drive - not smart.Originally posted by DoggieHowser View PostThat's cos the MkV is a REAL driver's car and not the soft poser that the VI is

No wonder you think the MKVI GTI is an improvement over the MKV.Last edited by triode12; 07-08-2011, 07:29 PM.

Not the episode just shown. Besides, if you have to drive faster and harder means that you either have to drive over the speed limit or take it to the track. Any car driven at those speeds would be fun to drive on the track, even the MkVI GTI. But noone can drive the car like that on a daily basis - well not without escaping the coppers for long or killing themselves or someone else.Originally posted by DoggieHowser View PostActually I recall he had to drive faster and harder. So fast until he threw his back out.

Yes, the MkVI GTI is technically better (more refined - smoother) but it has lost it's soul. I rather drive a car that has soul.Last edited by triode12; 07-08-2011, 07:57 PM.

Just for another Observation
I put 2 litres of window cleaning fluid in a few weeks ago after the light came on telling me it was low.. this was fine for about only 2 weeks and the light comes on again and I had barely used it. Seems it takes 6 litres of washing fluid because of the light washers..Current Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist

Look forward to making it out to one of the upcoming track days.Originally posted by adzy View PostFor sure mate, hope to see you at some upcoming track days... keep an eye on the motorsport threads
I think the brace would be a possible cure and the silicone spray would only mask the issue. I guess each problem can be overcome in multiple ways. I'm ok with spending the $$$ on a brace.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostAs I said I don't experience it..
