Golf R Observations and Questions

I've hardly seen any around either.

It takes me an average of 24 minutes to get too or from work. In the past 2 days, I've seen 4 white GTI's and 4 black GTI's... I've only ever seen a single R on the roads though. Overtook a black one on the M2...

I'm guessing it is mainly due to the lack of initial supply we recieved at the launch. Come November/December i'm sure we will see a lot more out and about..

There's a white one that I have seen 15+ times in Hobart - but Hobart is a pretty small place

That's true, each dealer would have only got 3 or 4 each with one being a demo/not for sale.

Hopefully they don't turn out being too common like WRX's.

Has anyone noticed that their are **** all R's on the road? Other than in a dealer, I've seen only ONE R on the road and it was a boring silver 5dr one at that!

ha, yeah I have only seen one (non dealer) car on the road, which was last night.. I tried to chase it down in the little polo gti.. but I lost it!

I spotted it from 700m away - those red led brake lights are a big give away. I wish all the mk6 gti owners would stop upgrading to the R rear lights!

Hey If its a good car its a good car! Ask the folks at BMW regarding there 3 series. Not a poor mans car but man they are everywhere!

As for the WRX's, I honestly start really seeing them everywhere once they an old model. EG I only now see some 08 STI's and MY10 WRX's on the road every couple of days as oppossed to the daily eyeful of MY98's I get..

Did you notice a couple of times in the video that the interior shots were not of a Golf R ?

1:10 Steering wheel and stereo surround were silver.
1:41 Not a Golf R Instrument Cluster.
