6500km and 8 months old I am about to do my first track day in the R. What are thoughts on oil changes? Change before or after the track day? Ok to not change at all? Before and after...?

Good idea to change after your Track Day.
When we've checked oil on Turbo cars after a MRT Track Day it's generally fairly contaminated by fuel.Cheap insurance to change the oil.
Good quality hi-temp brake fluid is advisable,too.

I hear and read from people often about these so called VW days but every time I ask about it, no one ever mentions how or when to get in on the act! Have given up on them!

Guys,
I noticed in the car manual (mfd sub menu Convenience) that on some models you can activate an audible re-confirmation signal when activating the anti-theft.
However it doesn't show in my menu.
Is this something vcds will do, or is it removed for ADS regs?
I also seem to have to keep muting the parking system, doesn't stay muted.
Maybe it resets when ignition is started?

Wahey another Geelong R owner! Gratz! I have only seen a RB R in my area so far. WIll have to keep an eye out for ya! If you see a united grey R getting around, its a fair chance its me or the Mrs driving it lol

Yup the confirmation chirps for the alarm can only be activated via VCDS.

The unlocking/locking sound of the Golf is so audiable, I'm not sure why you'd need an additional chirp chirp
