been viewing this thread for ages but feeling that i have nothing to contribute before i decided not to register...
but now that i have an order i can say that its going to be a long wait my ETA is end of February plus my dealer told me that the option of dynaudio has decreased in price to 1000 without gst so 1100 with gst

The Dynaudio was previously only $1000 (inc GST) when ordered in combination with the RNS510, but this is good news for people who want it without the RNS-510, as it was previously $1300 (inc GST) on the Golf R and GTI. Do you know whether this new price of $1100 includes the GTI too?

I see alot of people around this forum ordering their cars with the dynaudio option- what are you actually getting for $1000? is it just upgraded speakers or are you getting amp, subwoofer etc??

Yeah - 8 Dynaudio speakers and a 300w digital amp.

it was great to deal with denlo they got the price as close to what my budget allowed without persuading my to switch to a three door or telling me to choose less options. Which was a bit different to the experience at another dealer even though they were friendly enough but didn't give me the price that i wanted and was pushing me towards a 3 dr. I won't be naming the other dealer though...

for the cost of the R i had it with a trade in aswell which i thought that they couldn't give me a good price but they came out with the final price of the car so the overall effect was that i was under the LCT and respecting the dealer which he told me, he did not want me to post on the forums so thats all the information i can give (he asked me why i chose them and i said that some reviews off the forums). Im sure if you visit them they'll give you a reasonable price.

Do you know whether this new price of $1100 includes the GTI too?

He's a pleasure to deal with and he was the best price from the 3 quotes i got.

Got a quote from a dealer today with the following

3 door white
19inch black
leather
MDI
Rear camera
Blue tooth
Sunroof

Was quoted off the bat $53,990 EXCLUDING onroad costs - stampduty/rego etc.

Whats your thoughts on this quote? I have seen a few guys around here quoted lower the past few days

"Dealer Delivery" is an onroad cost.... is that also excluded?

I mean, the RRP for that configuration (manual right?), is $56,310 - so that's a $2320 discount. But dealer delivery is another big place where they discount too... so excluding onroads from the equation doesn't really make sense if you want to compare with what people have been quoting in their posts here....

Unless you already have included dealer delivery.... the standard in QLD appears to be $2995 (based from VW's site), so that would mean a $5315 discount. Once you then took into account the taxes and onroads, it could actually make you the highest discount ever posted here for an R.
