Well... if I were you I'd be immediately demanding print outs of NADCON or walking to another dealer mate. Unless you have recently changed your configuration, there is no way that it doesn't have an allocated build date at this stage unless your dealer is stringing you along... or you have misunderstood what they've told you.
i have seen the order and its status and agitated everyone in site from vga down no answers forthcoming.
have the option of the same spec car in grey vs my blue on order available to me now .
i am warming to it as safe bet vs the allutre and excitement in the <to me >unattainable blue one

Well...
If you have a NADCON printout, there should be several dates listed.
Firstly you should be able to see when they did the "Order Entry NADCON" to see whether they did in fact put it in the system on 12/06/2010 when the car was released. Then there should be an "Allocation of product plant" (which for me is 4/09/2010) and "Handover to production" (11/09/2010 for me), as well as "Checkpoint 8 Handover to Sales", "Exit Production Plan" and then several shipping dates.
If the Order entry into NADCON was much after the 12th of June, then they've forgotten to put the order in!
If they did put it in then, unless you've changed your configuration in recent weeks and that has lost you your production spot, then you should have dates similar to the above.
Otherwise, as I said, I'd be walking to another dealer who does know how to give you answers...
The print out from Nadcon is an ESTIMATE ONLY. Nothing is confirmed until production has started and it is always subject to change. Use it as a guide only.
I agree, Dermot, but if there are no dates at all in the NADCON system for r down under's order, and he put down his deposit last year, then wouldn't that be a sign to start worrying?
As for painting my OEM wheels.. mmm.. I CANT DO IT!!
LOL I didn't mean do it yourself, get them done properly. Shouldn't cost that much if you wanted to do it. But yeah, just sell them off to a GTI wanna (joking ) be and buy something nicer
PS I almost wish I went for manual now after driving an S3 in manual. You can actually get them to step out a little round a short bend in second - hope DSG can do the same.

I've been driving my wife's Jetta TFSI the last few days as the MPS is in the shop due to a kangaroo kissing the front end! At times I was wishing I had ordered a manual R but the more I've been playing with the DSG, the more I like it and anyway I'm now passed the point of making changes, so will have to accept what I decided on back in June!!!

Nadcon helps with the waiting, it gives us something to look at, tick off dates, discuss etc etc etc, keep the updates coming mate
