  • Yeah, most calenders show "Week 1" as being Monday 4th Jan 2010 - Sunday 10th.
VW's "Week 1" is apparently the week before, Monday 28th December 2009 to Sunday 3rd January 2010.

Your car coming slightly later, might give you the right time frame to make a last change.

It's a great buy at 1300 bucks for 19's with rubber probably worth that alone - and you get the headlights.

See how you go, and good deal you got
              Rexman,

Thanks... I'll try contacting the dealer tomorrow and see how I go.

              Cheers.

If you really want black ones that bad and he can't swap them, you could always have them redone after market... I vaguely recall hearing something like 100-125 a corner for that kind of thing. When I first picked my car and didn't actually like the idea of black rims, was going to have them done in a gunmetal type shade, so did a bit of googling...

If you're real keen, you could DIY too, there are plenty of guides I found for that kind of thing.

Yeah not very hard to do. My missus has already asked if she can have the 17's on her Polo done lol

It's VW's fault. If they gave us our cars quicker, we wouldn't have time to think about changing

I know I've altered my order about 4-5 times either changing colours or adding options but for some reason, never removing them LOL.

                            You are so right,

I called my dealer today hoping to add a couple of things... and not taking anything out. Funny how you go into a dealership with a set budget and generally walk out paying just a bit more... no discipline i reckon.
They haven't got back to me yet. Hope it's still okay.

Hope it all goes well with everyone else's changes too.

                            • Yep, its definitely the time thing. If I had my car now I would have made no changes. But with an almost 8 month wait, your going to have a change in preferences as some of you are also findiing out.

I still dont kow If Im getting blue or grey.

I have decided I dont care because (in my head), the blue looks better from the front, the grey looks better from behind (dont ask).

I guess Ill find out what happened sooner than latter!

As for painting my OEM wheels.. mmm.. I CANT DO IT!!

Maybe some aftermarkets will have to do..

Cause If the finish came out dud - I would be pretty cut, and never been a "painted it myself" guy for fear of making it look like.. I painted it myself?

                              • PS I almost wish I went for manual now after driving an S3 in manual. You can actually get them to step out a little round a short bend in second - hope DSG can do the same.
