That includes the VW corp discount, although that really only lowers the dealer delivery to ~$1,500 as far as i can tell as it's not as good as it use to be.
And yes we bought a Tig 147 earlier this year from the same dealer, so i have a relationship with them (apart from kicking tyres regularly for the last 18 months)
Interestingly enough, the % discount on my R order is more than on the GTI quote from same dealer at the start of the year, which is probably due to getting under the LCT cut off.
PM me if you want to know which dealer.

Yeah - in VIC is a two fold bonus to be under the LCT threshold, because not only are you not paying 33% LCT on the amount over $57,446, but you're also not playing 5% stamp duty. Also, unlike NSW where the increase in stamp duty is just on the value over the threshold, in VIC when stamp duty changes from 2.5% to 5%, it's on the ENTIRE COST of the car.
In other words, you go from a drive away price of $59,560 straight to a drive away price of $61,001 - there is actually only $1 difference in the discount from the dealer between those two prices, but because you cross the threshold the stamp duty jumps from $1440 to $2880.
Regardless, the price is very good!
Though it should be noted to anyone else reading this. The lowering of the dealer delivery price to ~$1,500 due to corporate discount is by way of rebate via VGA. Also, Glennb made another ~$50,000 purchase from the dealer earlier this year. If you want to know the quickest way to get a bad price, walk into a dealer and ask them to "match this price that I found on an internet forum"

But even at $62k drive away, my spec gives a 11+% discount, so it really shouldn't be too hard to get 10% or better from talking to your dealer nicely.
And i'm also likely going to have to wait 6 months before i see the car too

Onroad, $65,500 (NSW)
5dr DSG
19s
Leather
Leccy drivers seat
Sat nav w/dynaudio
Sunroof
ACC
MDI w/iPod cable
In stock and 400km on the clock. I think that was above 14% on your FY10 calc?
Was just negotiated direct with the dealer, no corp discount.
