Surprised though that you are still able to make changes to your order as i'm sure someone else was looking to do that and were told it would effect delivery by a few months, maybe it's ok as it's just a minor change.Last edited by Prodigy; 28-07-2010, 12:40 PM.MY11 Golf R - Rising Blue - 5DR - DSG - 19" Black OZ Ultralegerra - Leather - Sunroof - MDI - Euro Plates - Milltek Exhaust - Bluefin - SOLD

Hi Guys,
I've updated my calculator spreadsheet for the 2010-2011 financial year, and also updated the QLD stamp duty calculation based on feedback from angryman and confirmation from QLD Revenue Office. It appears even the Volkswagen site calculates this incorrectly for QLD!
The spreadsheet can be used to show you the exact "RRP Drive-away price" for your configuration including "onroads", whilst simultaneously allowing you to see what the discount you've been able to negotiate equates to once all the onroads are accounted for.
It contains a "State Selector Drop-Down Box" which adjusts the spreadsheet for all 8 States and Territories. It automatically switches to the correct stamp duty calculation and also provides information and links on the "onroad" costs of Rego, CTP Insurance (or your State's equiv) and Plates. Once you've determined your onroads, you must manually type them into the required fields.
On a "completely unoptioned Golf R", the resulting figures of this spreadsheet match the Volkswagen website pricing to within $100 (as prices can vary on post code and age and the exact dealer delivery average, it's impossible to get it 100% accurate as the Volkswagen's site doesn't break down the costs they use for calculation).
Compared to actual dealer quotes (mine, several other members who have offered their information to improve the spreadsheet), it's accurate to within +/- 1c. Although I must put in the disclaimer that some of the states have "interesting" stamp duty and rego/insurance/plate conditions (WA & SA & NT) and I can't find any info on the internet which shows the price of standard plates in ACT.
So if anyone notices any errors etc, or if you would like to privately share the breakdown of your quote to help with the spreadsheet, feel free to PM me and I'll make the appropriate changes.

I'm looking at a NADCON printout of my specification/description but I suspect it might be wrong as the Model in 2 different spots is listed as "5K1RX7". I was under the impression that code was for the 5dr and the 3dr should be "5K1RX72"? Colour and options are right, but I'd probably cry if a 5dr turned up instead of a 3 so I wanna make sure!!! (Also has 38.2010 as the planned production week)
If anyone else has their NADCON info handy, can you let me know what yours says for a 3 door?
On a side note Coreying, is your option codes correct in the spreadsheet? You have the BT option as "PZB" but I've only seen it mentioned as 9ZB which is also what is in my NADCON info.

In Nadcon the difference to look for is (W4B) which is 5 door or (-W4B) which is 3 door.

To be honest, my screenshot ends at the WD5 option. I know there is more below though. I'll send him an email and ask for an update and get him to show the other part of the options page. No harm asking your dealer about the 3 door code....

oh, btw, I just had a thought. Maybe when my dealer said -W4B, he didn't mean that "we will see a -W4B code on the list", but rather "we won't see W4B on the list".
Anyway - hopefully they'll clarify that point for us, hehe

This is what Dermot had to say when I asked him this, hopefully he doesn't mind me posting it.
Hi Jason
On our internal pricing and invoicing system the codes for 5 door and 3 door are different. However on the Volkswagen Ordering System (Nadcon) both cars have the same model code, but the 5 Door has an additional option of W4B (4-door incl. power windows rear) and the 3 Door does not have that code.
Kind Regards
Dermot Munro

Originally posted by coreying View PostThanks for the post Jasonpb. I think that is a pretty logical conclusion.
Btw, I'm thinking that maybe the C34 code is for cars with the 19" wheels only. Maybe it's to indicate the "wheel arch (wing) extensions"?
Thanks guys
