Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    I'm officially an owner of a 3 Door Golf GTI - Picked up the car earlier today.

    Ordered late October and now its in my hands!!

    I'll need to go on a nice drive to help break it in soon.

            Where did you get the model from GTI_WRATH? I wouldn't mind one myself as it is the same colour as my actual car....

              No-one cares, but I finally received my R today. Hooray! 9-month wait (since 21 August), but worth it.

                  Spoke to the dealer today. I was told that my car is finally ready to be loaded onto the back of truck to go to the dealer. That's a good 11 days after the ship docked! Now I'm hopping to be able to pick up the car by Tuesday next week!

                  This is definitely worse than when the car was on the ship!

                    Hang in there. Only a few more sleeps to go. Start getting quotes for insurance, spare e-tag mount, etc...

                      was told by me dealer about the same thing next monday or Tuesday, same ship with u, which dealer is it? maybe we will meet at dealer?

                        I'm in Melb, meaning Toredor would have docked a few days earlier. And yet we're getting the same pick up date? So clearly the efficiency is higher at the Syd docks than the Melb docks!

                          My car also arrived on the Toreador and I haven't even been given a date yet!

                                I am waiting for the call as well.. was going to chase them tomorrow cause Patricks has had it for 10 days now
