Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.               Woohoo, all my stressing was unnecessary (I know you all told me that anyway ) my car is on the Boheme and should dock in Freo on the 22nd Nov...happy days

                  For those of us with cars on 'Faust' she is about to arrive in Port Elizabeth today! Tomorrow to Durban, then over the Indian Ocean to Freo on 2/11/10, Melbourne 7/11/10, Port Kembla 9/11/10 and Brissy on 11/11/10.... Bring it on!!! I'm now getting officially sick of waiting (since July for me)

                  Keep ya's all posted!

                    Hey prodigy, even though ours is already part way down the coast of Africa, you are likely to get your car at about the same time as us "easties" (or maybe even just before us !). ....... The race is on !

                      I'm just glad it's on it's way, although it would be nice to get it before you guys..

                          Finally!!! My Golf R was on the Best, arrived Melb on 10th Oct and dealer rang me they have received the car today 19th Oct. They say my car will be ready on the 26th Oct. Boy it is taking them to get the car ready as they said it will be ready for me on the 26th Oct. Take them a whole week to get the car ready grrr....

                          The specs are

                          Golf R, white, Manual, satnav, ACC, bluetooth, and that's about it

                          Perry
                          Mk 6 Golf R, White, Satnav, Manual, ACC and MDI and Mk 7 Golf R, White, DSG standard configuration

                            It usually takes them a week to get the car ready....
                            That's why we say allow 3 weeks from the day that the car lands...
