What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

I'm getting the ko3s from Gav.

the TIP is on the list to get asap.
sometimes you find a happy dyno that gives huge numbers eh.

how much difference did you notice to the ko3?

Well I went from a k03 (190k) with larger TIP; to a new k03s, g60 flywheel, 3" downpipe... So the difference was immense.

But it has been a few weeks now and I am used to the extra power. There is no way I am going any further with modifying this car.

Possibly a front mount if I feel like taking the car back to the track for sprint days. Otherwise the stock side mount is good enough for everyday driving with the occasional spirited drive.

My gti has 217k on it. Just a pod filter at the moment.
Cant wait to see how it goes.
Anything more than this you start running into big money upgrades.
I am planning for intercooler and the rest of the exhaust to get done then just cosmetic upgrades and the big brake calipers adapters etc when the rotors need doing

It is a big change I would imagine but isn't it amazing that once you drive for a bit the extra horses dont feel all that unusual. They just keep you smiling tho'

Oh good work! They certainly fill out the arches more than the stockies that were on there. Great to see them on a car again!

Thanks. They do fill it out a bit more. Dont look too closely at the paint job - amateurish at best, but an improvement we think. Certainly much better with better quality rubber.

I have a superpro one I think (its blue?) from Gav on here(H100vw) and it was a bit rough for the first 1000km but settled down after that (slight vibrations around idle or low RPM to begin with but now its perfectly smooth)
you just undo your stock one and rip out the rubber one and refit the poly parts. job done. you just have to squash it by standing and putting pressure on it and get a friend to start the thread on the bolt

Thanks Guys. Makes it easy. I generally prefer stiffer/firmer ride so would like to go with firmer bushes and supports wherever possible
