bora is parked up.
rear passenger calliper finally stuck a little too well and I think has worn through the pad to the metal and is still holding on.
waiting on a few more parts to arrive thanks to Dubaddiction. went with new rear bearings too while im there so guess ill finally throw the drop plates in.
Until then... 6n race car

So golfs been off the road for about 2 weeks now. A loud rattling noise appeared and didnt sound the best! Pulled sump and found a tiny piece of plastic in the oil pick up but no sludge or anything else. Pulled off shell bearing but they were ok too. Waiting on parts from ecs thanks to tim at dub addiction so i can replace some parts. Going to do thermastat as its not that expensive. Rear main seal as I have an oil leak dripping from that area. Boost gauge just becausehoping to get it all back together and try and find this rattle!

I replaced the left ball joint without too much fuss but failed on the right one. Rounded the nut straight out and just said **** it, a problem for someone else.
I'm over all the squeaks, grunts and groans from this old beast.Last edited by JustCruisn; 24-01-2015, 07:12 PM.MK4 GTI - Sold

Fixed the dreaded glovebox on the same day before I went away.
Also decided to tidy up my wiring retrofits ... (need to source some OEM cloth tape)
Oh, and fit new horns to give the car the "parp" it deserves. (pics to come when I get the bumper off again)
Saw your build thread and I'm thinking it's probably time for a build thread myself now as I keep adding things to my list and replacing broken stuff.Last edited by RolfGolf; 30-01-2015, 12:26 AM.

Fun times ahead!!
Also I didn't notice it was warm white. I guess I was just looking at the pictures.
Let me know how you go with yours.
Don't order this kit.
