  • After neglecting the bora for too long, Im finally onto fixing the door lock module (re-soldering micro switch); such a PITA.

Also getting around to changing the rocker/valve cover gasket. Can any 4mo guys chime in; will I need to put it into "lock carrier/service position" (Moving the bumper assembly forward) to get to the lower hex bolts for taking the intake manifold off, or is there enough room to squeeze an allen key in?

Will be interested to hear how you go with this as I have both rear doors to do.

Just another item on a slowly growing list ... I ordered a new thermal fuse the other day as I need to replace the one for my blower motor as my fan only operates at the highest setting currently - with no air-conditioning.

Careful with those tails. They don't look ADR approved. Infact I'd put a bet down they're not. In which case you're a ticking timebomb for some HP to ream you for it.

And yeha, sorry, hate to be nasty but I'm not a fan but eh just my opinion.

                    • Jeebus, just took my car for a spirited drive. Its a mental nutcase! The k03s is quite the handful. Maybe I haven't driven that many a fast car, but geez full boost comes on like a freight train.

I can't imagine what a k04 or gt28rs would drive like... It must be just absolutely insane.

I have the lock carrier completely out at the moment (a/c compressor issue) and my view is that you will need the clearance. There are a few bolts, you will have trouble seeing let alone getting to. It gives you more room to work with. I know its a PITA (but a good decision for me in trying to get the compressor out).
