picking up front brakes, new dash set up on thursday too! now all i need to do are a few little service-like things and the golf should be ready for the trip down from brisbane to sydney for nationals at the end of May I'm hoping!

Anyone have a lower timing belt cover for 8v at all? don't want to order off vw heritage unless i really have to!

Tough as NAILS. Can't wait to see it down at the GC.

I think I am blind, but what camber tops are you using? Or were they on the coilovers you bought anyway? I am chasing some camber tops and camber shims for the rear to dial in neg and get lower without scrub city.

haha you can see it this weekend

they're silver project man - polish mob on ebay. under 200 for the set posted

camber shims i'm not running because i don't like the idea behind them - but you can pick them up for like 30 bucks. i'd rather just scrub scrub it's not that bad if it's not loaded up.

bought some more goodies this week - hopefully should have it all in for GC but at this rate probably aiming for nats!

            they're a secret though

Good meeting you today, man! Car is radder than Jesus fighting off the dinosaur invasion.

I had forgot to ask you about your Bride seat; I've also been looking at buckets, but have been wondering about the seat rail. Did you use the stocky/manipulate it into fitting, or are there aftermarket ones out there? Haven't done a google search as of yet, TBH.

I think on around page two or three, someone mentioned the Moroso sump. Did anyone ever get back to you with measurements? I'd definitely be keen for one as ripping my sump is fear number two. I'd be able to get them cheaper than that website also.

hey dude cheers!! can't wait for next week to cruise out to the GC meet haha.

yeah man i'll get some links - i'm busy doing a uni assignment which was due at midday today haha, but i'll get back to you this week on that one. i do have a spare seat frame you can have for 100 bucks (what i paid for it) if you know someone who can weld, you could probably even drill into it and bolt universal rails to it as well. no one ever got back to me about the sump - i do believe it is just a baffled sump and pretty close to normal specs!

I've scene this car and its really coming along. The rims are very sweet. This will be a strong contender at nationals and that's not just for its looks. ( I won't say anything more).

Pic from the weekend - couldn't hang around at the meet long due to weather constraints and I was about 100k from home haha.

The golf is going to get pulled off the road (again) while I install the new interior and sort out the electrical gremlins once and for all!

To be honest I've been dealing with problems as they happen due to multiple jobs and study - but i've got a month off uni coming up and i'm only working nights nowadays so i'll have plenty of time to get the loom out on the bench and have a proper look at everything. Hopefully she will be all sorted with the inside looking schmick soon and running reliably for little cost other than my time!

Then it's time for the engine to cop some loving - but thats a secret for now. Won't be a slow 'snail' anymore hint hint.

don't know what overpriced juice, an average phone service and a chocolate bar have to do with anything alot more than just that though!

got the rear strut brace in today finally! bought the deep head sockets on the weekend and whacked it in while cleaning my garage.

i wish i had a shed or something so i could start collecting more parts instead of selling them - so many ideas running through my head!!

I know how it feels. There is never a shed big enough for parts. Don't stress though we will get the loom sorted and start piecin the interior together. Have the carbon bits arrived yet?
