Few more goodies arrived today - just got to do some measuring on wednesday and i'll order the rest of the brakes from GermanAutoParts and that should be everything! Gonna suss out a new carpet and that will be the interior fully complete once the fibreglass kit gets here.

Chasing a full timing belt cover (i need top and bottom) for a 1.6 petrol if anyone's got one as well?? Will obviously cover postage as well if interstate.

Got woken up to these at my door this morning!!

They will be an absolute bastard to get in so I'm gonna wait til tomorrow and get a mate around to give me a hand.

Also did some mocking up of the interior today - these gauges and the killswitch, as well as a horn button somewhere, will hopefully be functional in the next week or so - depending on how much time i have!

Haven't decided on the order yet - might swap oil pressure with water temp so it's easier to keep an eye on the water.

Also in the second pic you might notice the pedal rubbers - geez they say nothing fits like genuine, and it was an extremely tight (but in the end perfect) fit!!

Got the camber tops in - the old ones were very, very tired! They fell apart as i dismantled everything. Found the new ones on Polish eBay - Revnit who runs the Mk1 fb group put me onto them. Very neat bit of kit and all lined up perfectly so it'll be interesting to see how they go!

Also did a well overdue coolant flush and replacement today, painted my new booster and did the final measurements for my brake upgrade - today was very productive hahah

Got my new wheels today, they're not the perfect dimensions but with the price i paid i'm willing to encourage them to fit a bit better haha. They have 205/50s on there at the moment - which i've already sold and have 195/50s awaiting me come monday. The rears will fit fine, I was surprised by the amount of room back there! The fronts just need some 10mm spacers (which were on the way) to clear the coilovers and I'll be laughing - Anyone want to provide info on my Gotti cup wheels?? They'll be up for sale shortly with brand new 165/50s on them! 15x7 ET 25 so they sit nicely on a mk1.

15x9 +21 rear, and 15x8 +21 front. initially tried the 9s on the front but they fouled on the coilover far too much for it to ever work haha.

Personally prefer the Gotti wheels especially with the spacer but these new ones do fit nicely, dig that your putting a 15x9 on a mk1.

thanks guys, i know that the wheels wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea, and i didn't really need to get rid of the gottis, but the price i paid was too hard to pass up! they won't be too hard to fit, worst comes to worst i'll need a couple of camber shims in the rear. i still need to raise the car up a bit and put new tyres on so it's still not what it will look like.

the mailman has been bringing so many presents lately!

Full OMP strut brace kit (front upper + lower, rear upper) and my 10mm spacers with extended wheel bolts
