Yeah I found with my BMC CDA that it mainly improved down low turbo response but other than that and "sweet intake noise" it's about it.

Got mine installed in my MK6 GTD yesterday. I can definately hear more turbo spool when accelerating, and there is less turbo lag. The sound of accelerating for the first 10 mins or so is a bit noisy; but it seems to settle down after that.

TDI's have a choke cycle boys, injects extra fuel / EGR flap is pulling in extra EGR to aid warmup, mine is the same, super noisy till warmed up, and it's insane when doing a regen!2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

The MK2 kinda does this. There is a hose bolted to the exhaust manifold that connects to the underside of the airbox to send warm air in.
It was the first thing I deleted
I'm convinced now of de-gridding my MAF.

Theres a flap in the bottom of the airbox that shuts the supply of warmed air off once the engine is warm, so there's no decrease in power or economy.

True but the MK2 warms up pretty quick and I always take it easy until the oil temp's up to 90.
I always understood that heater pipe thing was more for the european winters.
Also I had the oil cooler/warmer retrofitted to mine which aids warm up significantly.

It does feel a touch spritely under load but there's no extra power.
