What you can do now is ditch the MAF grid, as it is there to smooth out airflow over the MAF sensor after the 90 degree bend out of the stock lid, and it seems reasonably restrictive. See my first tinker thread. Modshack reckon it's 22% restrictive.
Thanks for the writeup. Sounds like they are made at minimal cost given the thin walls, and they have obviously tweaked the inlet noise, as my closed Modshack is almost too loud to be honest, be fine if I was half my age! Bummer about the thin walls, but you could always just add some insulative tape to the lower front near the radiator, and the side near the hot fuel pump. Guess the boring old Modshack still has some benefit, as being made from phenolic, it's about as insulative as they come.
Still, happy to swap, the APR "looks" far better to me! I assume it's just a K&N style element?
