That's OK I stupidly ordered in Aug, had it here and technically eligible for the 1% and was denied it. The offered to pay the difference between the extended warranty and the care pack to get the servicing. Was denied that. Picked up my car and saw my dealer were doing a promo as they were relocating up the road to give everyone 3 yrs servicing for the drama. Was really happy to find out that when I offered to pay for it and was knocked back. There are rumours that only the sedan will come here so you would want to find out pretty quickly whether that is true if you want a wagon as the wait will be 6mths whatever comes, although anything built now will be MY17.

Really no difference between MY16 and MY16.5 in the vRS. ACC is now standard so there $1000 more. tech pack is cheaper due to loss of ACC put you get lane assist. Thats the only things.

Interesting, shame there's no traffic mode with the tech pack, that to me would be much more useful than lane keeping assist.

Isn't the GTI Performance and RS230 fitted with a mechanical LSD rather than the XDS system (which activates the brake on the slipping/unloaded wheel) fitted to the standard GTI and RS?

It has a electro-mechanical lSD.

Don't quote me but a tech a VW told me as with the gti and gti pp the rs220 has a LSD but it's set. The rs230 can change depending on slip and what mode you put the car in

Funny it says rear seat belt reminders are MY17 on but I have it on a MY16

And I also have a large dent in my tail gate and a destroyed bumper thanks to a barina and a P plater That dosnt know where her brakes are.

Audi traffic assist where you don't have to do anything but steer in slow traffic. I thought the superb had an option for it now.

Not sure about superb. Not on the octavia.

Yes it is on the Superb, it uses the electric handbrake when stopped, the Octavia can't do it as it relies on the ABS pump, which is not designed to hold the brakes on for extended periods.

Giving the car a clean this weekend and I noticed that the brake fluid reservoir has no real support, it just flops around on the rubber grommets in the top of the master cylinder. The reservoir is quite tall, so there's quite a bit of leverage. Normal or did someone in Mlada Boleslav have an off day and forget to fit a supporting bracket?

The regular RS (and Golf GTI) have a fully-open diff, and use XDS. The RS230 and GTI PP get the electro-mechanical LSD, in conjunction with XDS.

Hmm I thought the RS and the GTI PP used the same diff and the normal GTi had something different. Which is one of the reasons the 230 wasn't as big a change as the PP is. Although I could be getting mixed up with the brakes as the RS has the bigger ones by default.

Got some info today about the New RS230.
Limited Release, Limited Colours, Might be here for Xmas, Only in Manual Transmission and sharing the same Drive Train and Diff as the Golf GTI Performance. Only options are Sunroof, Tech Pack & Seat Heaters.
