Just wanted to post my recent upgrade.
After moving from a Tiguan to a Golf I was missing the blind Spot indicator that is located on the inner side of the frame.
Very easy to see and notice when a car is in your blind spot. (atleast for me)
The Golf has the blind spot indicator light...

Hi I have a 2015 VW Amarok, I tried to be clever and do LED bulb upgrades on rear tail lights. Reverse, indicator, tail and stop lights.

What a failure, obviously the wattage drawn on previous lamps doesn’t match the on board systems expectations so the orange light glows on the dash...

It seems a rat thought my indicator wiring was tasty and chewed it off about 25cm from the bulb. Dang!

Can anyone tell me how to best get to the end of those wires to reconnect?

UPDATE: Not a rat! More likely poorly fitted rubber fitting that secures...

Just came down the Great Ocean Road and noticed the rear indicator globe has gone.

It's an Osram 5009 RY10W amber bayonet globe.

Thing is, I can't find anyone who stocks them - can't even find an equivalent!

I have a 2012 Amarok that has some sort of fault with the indicator lamp on the centre console for the transfer case. The light is stuck showing the ute is in 4wd high on startup, but when you toggle the switch between high and low range the dash lights up and 4wd engages and disengages as per normal....

Is there a way to turn the small indicator light that the driver sees in the mirror? I don't see the need for it and as it's the same colour as the blind spot detection light it detracts from that.

I can obviously cover it up or paint it, but was hoping there was a software tweak or setting...
