Thanks mate, glad others can learn from my mistakesOriginally posted by blackers10 View Postnotes taken.. say no to used salted road driveline parts... check.
Hope it goes down smoothly for you next try mate
I've been contemplating chucking the fronts in tonight but dunno if I can be arsed bleeding the system again haha

Yeah must've been hell working against all that rust! I'll definitely get you to pressure bleed the system when you swap boxes. Brake fluid is cheap and nothing beats the pedal feel of a properly bled system! Saw on the FB you're sick too mate, hope you'll feel better soon!Originally posted by Jmac View PostYeah techs would get a fright working over there, but its was a great way to learn, eyes got opened when I moved here to find stuff just comes off. A (proper) wheel alignment on an Audi quattro over there could take you half a day easy, cut my teeth that way.
Anyway yeah mate, ill hear from ya, hope it all bleeds up ok, if not I can pressure bleed it when I see it next
All the best

Rust sucks! Also I looks like I'll need your services in the next few weeks to swap gearboxes

Well not really, not at all actually haha.
I got both the rears in, then I went to bleed the rears just to get excess air out and one of the bleed nipple literally snapped off! I tried to get it out with an easy out and snapped that off in there as well. Ended up making quite a mess of it so I decided to give up and I ordered another set off eBay. These ones seem in much better condition anyway. Whole thing will be postponed until new rear calipers arrive. This is what the rears looked before I had to take it all apart again.

Was quite a fustrating weekend lol

Rest of my brake setup arrived today

Big thanks to bug_racer (euro revolution) sorted me out all the bits I needed at a great price! Got it all way cheaper than ECS!
.. One question though, I'm not quite sure what those washers are for? Came with 4 of them
