Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Will be awesome to see what it really looks like. For some reason the dealers are advising against dark colours but I notice that dark blue is a bit of a trend in many other brands There are also quite a few Golfs, Tiguans etc in dark blue around, not sure if that is the same colour. Originally I liked the olympic blue but thought it is a bit too bling and would date, in a couple of years we would be going Olympic blue is so 2010.

Can't wait to get our MV, I'm looking for a good tent to go on the side to put the kids in when we camp. I have seen some excellent ones from OS websites but the choices are limited here. Would also love to have the sortimo speedway

      New order

      Hi Everybody.

First advice - after you order your Vehicle, don't let you wife go looking in the dealerships at other models or you might end up with the headache we just went through.
      Original order was
Comfortline 4 motion 132 midnight blue
After a week of changed decisions and a lot of work by Wes Bond.
      Order changed to
      Highline 4motion Black.

      Happy wife = happy life!!

I'd be happy with that as you went "up-spec"...my wife would say "do you really need that" and then after I would have bought the more "loaded" version she would enjoy all the extra features and forgotten she wanted the lower specced model.......

Arrived today 132 4motion Highline Black is absolutely awesome, much more stable on the road than I expected, excellent power and pickup. Easy to park, lane change etc. The drive back from Trivett at Blacktown was really a good test and my wife drove the MV while I drove her GTI with WES Bond on our tail, off to give another test drive on his way home.

Thanks Wes for the great service.

                          Transporter,
Yes, but I have no idea where it would be, how it would work etc.
I intend to install my own under the bench seat, it will use the same
SLA batteries I use daily for work, so it will be dual purpose and adaptable.

                                Hi sPuDd,

Congrat's. Can you tell us what you get with the suspension upgrade (and the cost?), and was there any underbody protection available. I reckon you'll need at least a fuel tank guard, if this means you're planning much 'off-road' work.
