Got word late yesterday that our Blue Bus was finally built yesterday (Oz time), Wednesday 6 Oct 2010, Hannover time .....

So now we know when to celebrate another birthday ..... ETA week before Christmas ....

Wes from Trivett out at Blacktown lent my family and I a T5.2 103kw for the Old Bar Kombi festival over the long weekend.
If you've ordered your 103kw you won't be disappointed with your purchase. We had a full tank when we left and filled up when we got home and the Multivan still had 150km left in the tank. Cost me $81 to fill her up.
She powered up those hills on the F3 and was so versatile for all our camping equipment. I felt so relaxed driving the van and after 4 hours of driving wasn't fatigued. It was just so easy to drive, it was a real pleasure.
I'm looking forward to getting my 132kw 4motion now.

Thank you to Wes and the staff at Trivett for lending us the 103kw Multivan for the trip.

Our 2010 Complied, MK11 Caravelle is home. Totally wrapped with our first VW purchase. Getting used to the way Diesel work and the front seat belts which could lop someones head off when released... the are so fast. Like the new always on daytime driving lights.. found a bunch of features I didn't know existed as well, so that was nice surprise.

Our old Mazda MPV was simply dwarfed by the VW. Only one spare seat out of 9 left in VW... yep it a big family.

We have had a similar experience coming from a honda odyssey to a multivan. All the little extras and attention to details in the fittings confirmed to us that we had made the right decision.

When we had one for a weekend before we signed on and one of the kids said "I cant reach anyone", we knew we were on the right track.
We went for Natural Grey Metallic with Alloys... looks great. There isn't another one that color in our town and its the first one the dealer has had come through in that color as well. So thats a bonus.

The ship (Topeka) with our Multivan on it docked in Brisbane this morning ..... BUT ..... its not getting offloaded .... its on its way to Port Kembla on Friday and then on to Canberra for delivery ..... We have to go from Brisbane to Canberra for the pickup ... how weird is that ....

Update .... Topeka is now holding station off Port Kembla .... docking any time now .... getting close now .... ordered the van 1 July 2010 .... Finally built 6 October ..... almost here ....

Wes has told me shipping on Feb 5 I wondered how long most people waited from ship date as I was just quoted 10 weeks. I would have though 8 is normal 6 for shipping and 2 for compliance and delivery?

Another with a night blue, wow, we are indeed a very rare breed! I pick mine up today, was nearly 6 months to the day from order to pick up. I'll post some picks for you, as I know how hard it is to fine any in that colour to view. Congratulations on the new machine.

My 4motion (Natural Grey) was shipped on the 29/11/2010 and it arrived on 08/01/2011. So not very long at all to be honest. Some of the Multivans from that ship have already arrived at the dealership.
I should have mine by weekend 22/23 Jan.
