Tuesday I placed an order, Friday this box arrived.
Opened it up and this was inside
Few hours work today and bam, it's in. Here's a few pics of the two side by side and in the bay. You can see the difference in runner sizes and plenum shape/size. I got the large port manifold as I run the manifold spacer which transitions the large port down to our small port head.
Feels great to drive, certainly a bit more go top end, and MAF readings confirm that. Low-Mid range feel torquier also. Fuel trims look good, AFR is good. Grins all round. Few little silicone bits needed and it'll be ready for street sprints next weekend.
looks good. Is this the one that when you separate the plenum from the runners, it has stacks at the mouth of each runner? So can this same manifold can be bought with small port runners too can it?
That's correct, plenum can be rotated to either side depending on the application you want it for. The difference between the big and small port manifold is only the hole size on the bottom of each runner. The runner size on both the small and big port manifold is the same.
Went to street sprints at QR again on Saturday. Weather was perfect and had a great day. First time out on the H&R coilovers and was really pleased with how the felt. Beat my previous PB by nearly 0.7sec, but more importantly my consistency was much better overall, and I'm sure there's plenty more in it but I'm slowly chipping away at it.
Meant to to be back at QR this weekend with a few mates to do the HL with the Hi-octane group then next weekend is HL at lakeside with the VW group and 2 weeks later is Norwell... BUSY BUSY

Got it off one of the forum members a little while back. I had a tough time trying to locate one before that though, only place I could see them were in the UK and they wanted crazy amounts for postage.

Yeah im chasing one. Having trouble finding one but haha
Last night I went to the drags at Willowbank. Thought I'd give it another shot to see if I could crack a lower time. Managed a new PB on my first run which was a 13.5, which was followed by 2x 13.7, a 13.6 then someone on a bike dumped a huge lot of trans fluid. After about 45 mins waiting for that to be cleaned up, they called out that our next run was our last runs of the night.
On my last run I managed a 13.41 @ 107.5MPH, another PB and from what we know and that has been recorded, that's the fastest time in a 9n3 GTI in Aus! I do believe there is more in it too, the car was sitting for long periods of time in between runs which made heat soak set in pretty quickly.
