Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

          • Got it serviced, and also changed my gearbox oil to Redline MTL. Looking forward to seeing if this makes a big difference

No problems with my gearbox, but sometimes does crunch when its cold, and can feel a little clunky when shifting quickly.

What happened to it? Or from your post, what did you install?!

                • I hit a kangaroo...

Car has been in for 4 weeks getting repaired... Was only meant to be in for a week, but parts supply from VE was a bit slow... No biggy though as I have not been out of action for 4 weeks after a shoulder reconstruction... I still won't be able to drive for at least 2 weeks as I am still in a sling...

                    I hope you're alright now.

Cheers man... Nah, the operation was on the cards before I hit the Roo. It was only a glancing blow, and still drivable. Looks like new again, and no stone chips!!

At the end of may I had a shoulder reco and knee operation at the same time.... Old age and work injuries catching up with me!!
