  • If you know how to remove a driveshaft, its easy to replace the boot, tools are important. The boot is only worth like $15

    • How much did your KWs cost, kangfu, and where'd you get them?

Am I crazy, or would these plus these look awesome on a lowered Pogo?

Is it a VW specific part i'd need? Or would i be able to pick something up from an auto store/local Pedders ... ?

Edit: so I inspected the boot today and it doesn't look split? I don't know where all the grease may have been leaking from. Is it going to be ok to drive the car for the next few days still? I've only the one car at the moment and I can't get time off till Wednesday to go get it fixed. I'm pretty sure its only been a few days since it leaked because I clean my car often and only just noticed the grease inside the drivers side front wheel a day or two ago.

            • Picked up a set of lower honeycomb grilles for the princely sum of $26 on fleabay from a seller in the next suburb

Started drilling out and cleaning up the holes for the grill in front of the SMIC, will hopefully install these tomorrow night.

              • Not much today, spent most of the day cleaning which is what I did to the car, detailed it inside and out, did the wheel arches and part of underneath the car.

Pulled the head unit out to see what was involved in pulling the dash out. Pulled some more weight out of it, worked out where I am going to run the front legs for the cage.

Cleaned up tools and called it a day. Cleaned up a few of the parts that need to be refitted as well.

                • Spent Sat, and part of sunday getting my new turbo on, didnt know it would be such a pain in the bum, oh and they sent me the wrong manifold Doh.

Still not finished, TIP had to be modded too.

Hopefully I will go back to it this week when i have some time

Oh thanks to Tim for all the help, couldn't have done it without him, and to Lucas (the GIAC) man, would have been stuck without him too

                  • took the long way home specifically to have an enjoying drive in the Pog. And boy was it fun!

This might be the last ever go in it as it will be moved on soon... so sad as its a superb car, the drive even in standard spec is great, just kept it on the boil at 3k rpm +, especially in 3rd this was superb.

                    sigh.

                        • I bought a bonnet bra from Ebay and put it on for our trip to Pt Victoria. Surprisingingly the majority of stone chips are on the bonnet and not on the bumper.
