Put a new battery in after the car failed to start... Getting the cage on top of the battery off was a nightmare!!!
Doesnt give you much warning hey. Anyway did you reset your Auto window function?? and if it feels a bit queer the throttle body can be upset after the battery change, it should be re- adapted, but should right itself over around 5 driving days as the Ecu is adaptive
Cheers

Just finished installing the forge short shifter - I ordered one off ebay before the group buy
Installation is a PITA with the battery/airbox in the way but it can be done! I had to yank at the stock shifter for quite a long time to get it to come loose...battery makes it hard because you don't really have much room to play with but in the end only took me about an hour.
I have the 42dd bushes as well but I did not drill them to fit the pin, I just used some lithium grease and the bush slot on quite snugly...I reckon the two surfaces should wear down over time and move quite freely after a while so no worries there.
I have the shifter on the shortest setting and boy, massive difference to stock! Shifting literally feels like a nice well oiled bolt action rifle...the shifts really bang into place with minimal arm movement required...the 2nd-3rd and 3rd to 4th shifts are super fast and super solid!
Just take your time installing it and you should be ok.

God I hope thats true. All I really want in life from my Pog (after a remap and KW coilovers) is to have a gear shift like the original MX5. You just lay your forearm on the centre console and lightly but with purpose move your wrist while ringing the guts out of it. Better than sex. This sounds like a good mod.
Just bought the PLX Kiwi Wifi cable on eBay. Same price as buying from PLX, but shipping is about $30 cheaper. Loving the worth of the Australian dollar at the moment!!!

Better?? Perhaps you're thinking of the other wrist action, haha

Was that the A$185 inc shipping offer? It's FAR better than the local distributor's price too!

I would suggest the Seat bushes for control arm, or you can take my partially used Whiteline ones if you want...
All assuming they have not yet been bought.
Raged at VW spiingwood. Can't get the passenger seat out as they have rounded out the bolts. Also one of the drivers Side seat bolts came from VW cross threaded. Long story short damaged that seat rail so had to order a new one. Plus side is the seat was mounts besides that.
Also had the lower control arm fixed. It is pretty much ready for VW nats. Oh and cleaning gear turned up
