Installed OEM VW Sharan Aerial from Ebay.

Sits a little proud of the base, i'll find a small rubber washer to fill the gap.

reception seems fine and looks good. Makes the stock aerial look massive.

is that the same as what Dub Addiction were selling - the little black rubber ones ? I've got one of those and it sits perfect.

This one is OEM, I was concerned about getting one from Dubbaddiction as some have had reception issues with that particular unit.

Bought mine from Dubaddiction for around $30 and they had free shipping. Sits perfectly. But I know what you're talking about losing reception, but it's not that bad.

I don't have any reception issues around the city, on a long drive it might drop out a bit while still trying to get city stations ... but that's when the mp3s come on

The only time I listen to radio is to listen to the news, traffic report and Hamish and Andy on the drive home. But apart from the I think radio is rubbish.

I bought one of those antennas from DubAddiction a little while back, however never put it on because I could'nt get the stock one off.

Do they just unscrew? I tried that but it wouldn't budge... and yes I tried both ways! Any tips ?

Stock just unscrews from the base. Shouldn't really be anything to it, maybe a little WD40 will help it move.

Have one from dubaddiction too. Perfect 100% fit. I am in Auckland, and get reasonably good reception throughout. And yes, I use my ipod when 'out of city'.

I would never go back to my previous 'remote control car' aerial... but then I lost it anyway

I gave up and sold it because I found a rubber antenna seal on ebay for $5 AUD delivered. I was only going to fit one as my antenna seal had perished.

From memory... it looked like a biatch of a job.

I've just had my 60km done (thanks Jimmy!) and I also need rotors & pads & bushes (still to be done). Totals going to be just over a grand (!!!!) but I had a couple of other things done as well.

God knows what a dealer would charge - good luck!

Yeah it was done by the dealer, paid just under 700 for the service with dealer discount card.
