Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Im not meaning to flash them about everywhere. When I was looking for wheels I wished more people posted up their wheels for comparitive purposes. For the benefit of those possibly wishing to upgrade.
TO be honest I was very iffy about buying them, still not fully sure on them.Last edited by Petrina Polo; 11-05-2009, 12:31 PM.

Just spent the weekend in Sydney visiting my dear old mum for Mothers day. The drive there and back on the F3 was freakin awesome with my new tail pipe. It could be just my imagination but I feel as though I'm getting a bit more power up the top end- it just wants to keep going and going.

i dont ask much
Unfortunately I'm pretty computer illiterate, so getting a sound would be difficult for me to set up. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Bought some EBC Greenstuff pads for the front. Anyone know where I can get some Martini brake fluid from and how much it will cost me??

Droped the car off to get a spare key cut and rattle looked into.
Now have spare key, but rattle is exactly the same. Also needs new drivers side window motor / motor regulator replaced.
Cant look at it for atleast a week, kinda frustrating given I waited 2 weeks get the spare key...

Cleaned the engine bay.
Got the engine up to operating temperature first then sprayed the entire bay with a general purpose cleaner. Let it sit for 5 minutes then high pressure hosed it all off -- Was worried at this point. Thankfully, no issues at all. Started great, took it for a good drive to help dry everything up. Once I got back, I just wiped some OCW on plastic and rubber components, came up an absolute treat.
Noticed that the battery cover is stuck under the air intake pipe, obviously been like that since it was built as this is the first time I've noticed it and it hasn't been serviced yet. Probably going to request a new one as I don't think it would clip back on the way it's bent.
Anyway, just thought I'd let anyone know who was worried about cleaning their engine bay. Looks like it's not as delicate as I previously thought.sigpic

Hey I should be picking up some of that General Purpose Cleaner soon, along with heaps of other stuff from Final Inspection. Good to know it's handy for cleaning the engine bay. High pressure hose hey? Do you have one for home pixl, because the ones that are at car wash joints seem too powerful to use for under your hood?MY16 MK7 Golf GTI
