Indeed. I should have also mentioned that the end of the nozzle was no closer than 50cm to any part of the engine. The water at that distance is much less powerful and more misty, less likely to stuff anything up.
in the owners manual , i think i read some where to be carfull what you use to clean the engine with as aparently vw have some kind of anti corosion agent on components. can anyone verify this?

Removed all the bugs and dust from the car after a weekend in Mudgee .... I remember now why I was unsure whether to get a white car !! Anyway, after a lot of washing finally got her all nice and clean again.
Ordered some touch up paint from Barloworld .... picked up a little chip (2mm) down near the fog light

Final Inspection, man. Got a Stage 1 detail. Now that i've got a coat of Sealant on there, I can use the products I bought to do it myself.
FI seal? I got to give that a try some time...
I am currently using ocw which give a great finish but the FI seal is meant to last longer - an important consideration up here in the tropics. he is my roof done with FF PO85RD on a white pad and 2 coats of OCW
damn that looks good - gotta love that mirror finish...Damian did a good job on the prep.
If the seal lasts as long as they say it will all you have to worry about is keeping the dust off it - the curse of the black car.... lol
