at the end of the day, resale will only be a couple of grand better off on a low km GTI. the opportunity cost of really enjoying the car and racking up km's in it far outweighs a few thousand dollars resale.
My car is almost 11 months old, I've almost hit 17000kms from memory. That's including 3 months of no license.

X2^^ I have done 23,375km in 11 months, with another 2500km in the next few days...I love it every time I drive it, and I think its going to get even better as of this weekend.

Yeah - there is no such thing as good resale on second hand cars anymore. New cars are just unbelieveably cheap for what you get and get cheaper every year.

And the second hand market is FULL of good buys because everyone wants and can (well used to) be ableto afford a new car. Even Bimmers and Mercs seem cheap these days compared to 10/15 years ago.

                        • Just got back from getting the APR ECU flash done .... wow

Huge difference I can notice already .... came home the "long way" so I could get more k's up on it and let it adjust. Gotta say it is like a different car. Interesting in the wet, with the extra power being put through the Continentals and stock suspension. But awesome change.

Big thanks to Derek at European Autotech for the work

                          • Yeah its an amazing improvement those APR chips. Like trading your car in for a new one! I am having so much fun with this car, more so than any car before, I seriously can't imagine trading this in for a very long time. Before the APR upgrade I was considering trading for a Golf GTi but not anymore!! lol

wait til it dries up mate and you'll have a completely different opinion again. there is a lot of accellaration lost i the wet (from wheelspin) with a chipped gti, but in the dry there's nearly none and you'll feel the real pull of the car!! great feeling!
