Awesome, what type of gain are we looking at with all the other mods taken into consideration?

Yet to dyno ... so can only guess. From what others say ... 7 -> 12 kw. But I won't know until I dyno it ... and might have something more to go on before that.

Can't say I've had much chance to trial it yet, Johan. Haven't noticed any difference in sound ... and it may just be my seat-of-the-pants dyno ... but the torque on take-off feels ... smoother, stronger ... not quite sure how to describe it ... but good.

And the Recaro's that are on their way from Germany. Mine will have a suede centre, and without the RS4 logo.

The lights are more function over form. Both spread beam. Geez the standard high beam is crap on twisty roads!

                  • I'd like to see 4 x Turini Apollos across the front of a Polo. I had them on my Charade and by God they literally turned night into day for just over a kilometre ahead.

Plus I like the rally look.

And I like the inappropriate look of big spotties out the front of a Euro car - it's just so...................Australian.

How much did they cost Stewey, if you don't mind me asking?

I would have thought like $5k or something lol

With such grand seats on the way, I assume the car is chipped, with better suspension and all the performance extras? Why not wheels yet tho??

I wouldn't think they would be too hard to fit, providing that the rails are manufactured to fit.
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

I meant fit by width. The polo isn't that wide and they're pretty wide seats.

                            • Cheers for the compliments and questions all...

Cost on the seats? Retail, $2400 each seat, $140 for each set of runners, and $385 per base frame. Also it'll be illegal to fit them in SA, because i'm removing the side airbags. I'm going to get them fitted at Idealseat in Melbourne. So no, not cheap. I was (until last month) a Recaro distributor, so i can get them at a small discount. I guess being retrenched isn't all bad!

Regarding the Cibie's.... I could only WISH i had 4x Turismo's across the front. I'm kinda thinking of another pair fitted under the headlights, in the blank white panel of the bumper. Thoughts anyone? I too love the rally look. Obviously being a navigator for a short stint has had its effects on me. I want red nylon type mudflaps too.

As for the state of tune on the car.... Standard. I bought this thing to SAVE me money in the long run. However, chip, Forge FMIC, S3 brakes and Bilsteins are all on the future to-do lists. All in good time.

A pair of O.Z. Superturismo's in silver would suit just nice too....

Very nice seats, but is it just me, or is ~$6k on seats a little much? With those other mods as well, wouldn't it just be cheaper to start off with a Golf Gti to begin with?
