Where are you getting the colour coding done?
I really want to get my rear and side skirts colour coded - haven't looked into it yet though.

Im getting the Touch Up Guys to do it, they come and do it at your house ect and the pricing seems really good.
Im getting the side mouldings on front side and read matched to the rest of the car, around $220 and that includes getting around 6-8 stone chips fixed. I also asked how much to get rear bumper done, pretty much same size as the GTI ones and he quoted me $60 more.
I wasnt sure how good the quality would be so looked around on net and most people seem to say they are pretty good.
Just got done today and went from this. Yawn
to this could do with a lowering but don feel like spending the cash
DODO JUICED the GTI today. silver looks great. it was getting pretty filthy. now i've used that wax i don't think i'll use anything else. Although could use a polish with Meguires first to make it easier to apply. pics soon

Looks great, Oliver ... paint job has come up well. Also like the GTI wheels on it.

It looks great!
Can you notice the differance between the smooth paint finish and the textured rub strips? I was going to get the from & rear grey panels of the Golf V painted, but I was told the finish would remain textured, not smooth.
It can all be smoothed. It just usually costs more.
When i was getting my mk5 colour coded I was told "oohh no you cant get that smooth" But then I mentioned to the guy that I knew people that had infact had theirs smoothed and he was like ohh well umm errr yeah we can do it but it will take longer.
yeah you can have it smooth, just more work i would assume. When your up close you can notice its not smooth but still looks 1000x better then just the black plastic, he did 3+ layers of clear coat which also helped smooth it out.
2 hours after i got it done guy scrapped all along side of car so now probs need to get it done all over again

should get them to sand it back smooth and then repaint.

okay, just bear with me here: today i washed and vacuumed my car.... for the third friggin' time this week. why? because the place near work where i park is, apparently, the convergence point in the universe for all tree sap, flower crap and every other plant residue, living or dead. and during the day, this stuff gets caked on to the paint, which makes it even harder to remove. the strange thing is that i don't park under any trees. i am never parking there again. okay, end rant. at least now i have a shiny car to on the weekend

Cut the flap out of the inlet on the SEAT intake pipe - pants on seat dyno says it feels a little smoother, for very little effort. And eliminated another 2 rattles while I had the car out.
