Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

No fresh tune as yet. I'm fairly certain my wastegate is currently knackered, so I just jumped in the deep end instead.
K04, 4-bar FPR, and keep on driving.
For ease of use and the fact it's still just a daily driver I'll probably APR it and get rid of the SAI and all that junk at the same time.Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Choose two.

Good choice for your circumstances Stuwey, if you want an SAI delete blank, I have loads for $20 delivered. Reuse the standard gasket.
When you get the tune, please log the fuelling and fit an AFR gauge, for the peace of mind it's not leaning out over time. Much as the pumps are claimed to be good for it, an older pump may not be as good as it needs to be if you are pushing hard for any length of time.
$150 for the AFR gauge against untold $1000s for another motor.

Started installing my intercooler this morning. I've had to offset it slightly due to clearance issues, apart from that its fitting up really well. Core is slightly smaller than the forge cooler, however it ended up being just over a third of the price of the forge kit including all pipework!2006 Polo GTI | Custom 2.5" Downpipe | APR Stage 2 | H&R | 17" Denvers | Whiteline LCA Bushes | Whiteline RSB | K&N Filter | 312mm TT Brakes | RDA Rotors | Remsa Pads | SAI Delete
