Fitted my boost gauge. Bit more of an inconspicuous spot compared to most. Have it sitting in the little tray under the steering wheel to the left hand side. Easily visible through the wheel
The car spent most of the day in the driveway where washed of 3,700 km of bugs and did some much needed maintenance. While cleaning I jacked it up and power washed the engine bay, under carriage and wheels. With it up in the air I replaced the rear brakes and changed the oil (no filter because it wasn't available here) now I just need to order some parts. Here it is in the garage.
Whilst sorting out a fire extinguisher for track days, discovered the front seats have a pull out compartment below them
I found the passenger one when prepping for my cross country trip. Didn't check the drivers seat until 3am in the middle of trip when I was bored. I found a set spare bulbs for the car. It was a pleasant surprise. Now if I could only locate a manual.

That's why I have a bracket that bends down to follow the contour of the floor (sits about 1 cm above it) so I can still use the drawer when the extinguisher isn't bolted in.

There's a few pics in my car thread of fire extinguisher locations/mounting, if that's of any help. Mine isn't mounted yet.

I'm going to make a bracket out of 3mm plate and fix it to the front seat rails. 3mm should be more than enough to meet CAMS which for my application just state >= 0.9kg unit and mounted must stay put up to 25G. Quick inspection looks like this should be pretty straightforward, the only consideration I have is seat position vs length of bracket vs practicality.
I've had the (forward facing bracket) extinguisher break free under brakes - if it was facing upwards, then it certainly would have come out from hitting some of the more unfriendly rumble strips at Winton.
That's why I've added that black strap to secure mine (with a clip like a backpack buckle to release it)
25G => ~240kg load on the extinguisher's bracket/clip which looks beyond the capabilities to me

Braking would rarely exceed 1g. I top out around that with the semi slicks and big brakes on the red car. Even my silver car with standard calipers tops out at an average of around 0.8g on a track day. Makes you think about the forces exerted on equipment hey.
Kaanage, do you run a lap timer or data gathering equipment?

I've had the ABS cut in with the little 256mm rotors and stock calipers when running semislicks - I guess I was standing pretty hard on the center pedal . I doubt I was decelerating much more than 1G
I used to run Harry's Lap Timer on my old iPod but an update stopped it working and I can't revert it.

What brake pads do you recommend? I'm trying to decide between mintex red, hawk hps and hawk hpc for my 256mm rotors.

Have you emailed Harry? A mate runs Harry's and he's offered great support on tech issues. You also need an external GPS for useful data - presume you'd know all that anyway. I've got quite into understanding what the data tells me and rely on that for changes. Found it's quicker running 4th gear through a sector than 3rd due to wheel spin and better car balance. A few tenths found and more gentle on the car. A small sacrifice on exit of hairpin but not much given the torque of these things.
Food for thought.
