Not sure yet. Took it for a short drive before with the windows down however it was quite windy so I couldn't be sure.
It's a quite loud vibration with the bonnet up when stationary (with varying revs) and even with the bonnet down it is audible.

I'll see how it goes with another drive and if I can't hear it on the move I won't worry about it.

      • i'm assuming you are talking about the Seat intake section? There is not much space around it, if its just up against a pipe you could put something in between.

        • Yeah it's the PD160.
I'm thinking if it gets too much on my nerves i'll put some gauze or something heat resistant in between.
In regards to connecting the hose to the trumpet, they click together well but does it need anything to adhere them together?

            • You can always link a couple together (cable ties, not Seat intakes)

                  • So run cable ties around the trumpet in the same way a metal clasp would work?

Yep... I have this, plus thin double sided tape on the inner mating surfaces... That sucker hasn't moved since the day I fitted it, and I have never had any noises from it... Just turn the music up if you do!!

                      • hehe the stereo has been off for the last 24 hours - LOVING the induction noise too much! I'll do a bit of investigation later today (at work again this morning >.<) and see where I can tighten things up.
I've noticed there's a decent bit of extra mid range boost now with the bigger intake.
Looking at a photo I took between removing the stock and installing the seat part, I can't believe the disparity between the two. The stock intake is tiny! Why VW? Why?!
Can't really tell if the BMC is making any difference though :s
