Glad you had time to read some of my thread Oh i have some Recaros out of a Cilo coming from the UK
Actualy i have been having problems with the setup. I read somewhere to get a 16psi cap, it seems to not hold enough pressure, when the car gets hot, even after i turn it off, it seems to open and dump water. I have ordered a 18-21 psi cap which i am waiting for, hopefully it solves the problem, I will let you know how i go
search, inline filler neck, inline filler, radiator filler etc
There are a few floating around
Thanks for the links. Once you fit those CS's you'll never look back. They are awesome.
I researched quite a bit on the expansion bottle removal and they all say to use a 19-21PSI cap so that should defo sort your problem with the 18-22 cap.
I know the answer to this is just block them off but wondered what you did with the hose/outlets that were no longer needed?
Also when filling the car back up with fluid did you come across any issues?
Every time I have filled my car there's a water lock but once the water has settled for say 30mins then this is sorted and I just top up the system.
I removed the rail that runs along with the fuel line, and plugged it with a bolt at the end near the T piece.
The other hose (bigger one) I plugged with a big bolt also, just filled it and took te car for a short drive and kept checking untill it was full.
Your lucky your filler neck has the little outlet nipple as my one didnt. Its not nice when it opens and sprays coolant on my nice clean bay. I have since fixed that with a fitting and some hose. Make sure you run a bit of hose down incase it does decide to let some water out. It is over 30 degrees here everyday for the last week, so a lot hotter than the UK
Another thing, you can PM me this. Can you tell me about the RS's ? Ceramic polished, how much to do the centers ? Have you decided what your going to do with them, can you clear coat over them to protect from scratching ?
I would love to get my LM's fully polished, but not sure anyone does the "ceramic polishing" here, if that what you call it
Love your car its amazing, i would love to poor more $$$ into my machine. By the looks of thing you have spent a crap load !!!. Im have always been a fan of the JBS stuff for their quality etc, my plans are to do something like yours maybe a JBS manifold and a TD05 18g, they seem to make a bit more power than the VF34, dont know about spool tho. Parts here are hard to find and 3 to 4 times more than the UK

That's what I thought you would have done but wanted confirmation. I'm going to buy some silicone bungs to block off those two pipes.
Why would you feel it necessary to bring up the fact you've had great weather. We have had snow and - figures to contend with
Regarding the ceramic polishing there is only one guy over here that can do it called Mike the Polisher The Polisher
Luckily i purchased the wheels like this so unsure of the cost but certainly the best way to polish wheels. Most guys out here just put some sort of wax/protector and this is what has been mentioned as the best to buy and what i will be using. Exterior Coatings // G|Techniq
You could clear coat them but then they wouldn't look as fancy and as you guys have such great weather I would just use the stuff mentioned above.
JBS do make some good quality stuff but with so many choices on turbo it's so hard to choose. It all depends on personal preference and what your goal is. What ever you do stay away from any IHI turbo's. They don't like high boost and are a weak turbo. I have seen many people break IHI's and upgrade to either TDo5 etc or a Garrett turbo. Just my views.
Been spending lots of time getting the car ready for ILV
Seeing as i won the show last year I have to go back bigger and better
Spent 12-13 hours over 2 days detailing
Washed, Claybared, Menzerna FG500 on Surbuf pad, PF2500 on Festool white pad, SF4000 on black pad then sealed with Wolfs Body Wrap and P21S 100% Carnauba wax
Sorry for the Iphone pic, will get some better pics later.
Still not 100% happy, but it will do for now
Made some new brackets i wasn't happy with, two for the hood lifts and also one to mount the BMC CDA
Also moved the Catch Can and re-did the hoses and bracket
Oh Polished the Engine Mount (drivers side). Spent hours and hours sanding the cast metal to a smooth finish
Waiting for the Kmac camber strut tops so i can go crazy camber and low for the show
Plans before ILV, take off Intake Manifold, Valve Cover, Throttle Body, Fuel Rail and Re- Sand and Polish. Give her another coat of Wax, detail the Interior, Engine Bay, Fit the LM,s seeing as they have been detailed and sitting clean covered with towels
