Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'd expect a MY06-07 STi around the $1k mark for me.Current:

is it possible to program the door open sensor in the car?
unfortunately, from where i come from, the polo gtis that we get do not have this. if we leave one door slightly open, the only way we'd know is by the 'feel' of additional sound or air pressure differences when driving - quite dangerous, i know!

It is done usually by modifying some values in the eeprom:
like this (the qoute is from someone who did it on his Seat Leon - but the procedure should be similiar - maybe just with different addresses and values)
Is neccessary the software vds-pro with all extra fuction enabled.
If your vag number in 46-comfort is 1C0 959 799 F or 1C0 959 799 E
surely this procedure will serve to you (if it is other i dont now
if it work) :
1º Enter to module "46 - Comfort".
2º Enter "11 - login" with the login 19283
3º Enter "27 - Write eprom"
Direction 04361
Celula 002
4º Enter "27 - Write eprom"
Direction 04362
Celula 002
5º Enter "27 - Write eprom"
Direction 04363
Celula 002
Or you can use a module specially made for this adaptation - like this one:
Automatic Windows Roll Up / Down Flash Module
* A OBD flash module to enable automatic window roll up & down by remote key fob like those featured in Audi
* This OBD module will flash new coding into the comfort module in a minute to enable the function
* Only 1C0 / 6Q0 control modules compatible
* Work on 2000-2005 Golf MK4, Jetta / Bora MK4, Polo 9N, New Beetle, Passat B5 / B5.5
* The feature is not able to be coded via VAG-COM
* Installation instruction supplied

Wow, excellent find RoSonic!
Might buy one of those, could possibly loan it out to people to use for a small fee
EDIT: Have just done some research on those one-time flash modules, and apparenly they permanently lock you out of programming your CCM after using them. People recommend using a generic OBD11 cable and some software called 'VDS-pro'. I'm looking into it now.Last edited by tooch; 07-11-2009, 08:55 PM.MY11 Skoda Octavia vRS wagon 147TSI DSG

But it should be safe with vds-pro... Here in Romania there are people that do that coding (free or for a small fee) to activate windows roll up function and some other functions like autolocking...
