Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Here-s a thread that could give more info on the subject: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=160960

PS: I think a moderator could split this discussion into a new thread

    • Hehe, I'm half way through reading that entire thread right now

Yeah this would be better suited as a separate thread.

          • After getting my flash to work again, took it for a spin. Gave it a full launch off the lights to a safe 80km/h speed limit. Then the P platers old Honda hatch came along side me (much later) and the young kid asked if it was turbo, I nodded yes

            • Did heaps of driving today, most of it was mountain highway type of thing, so got to give the car a decent fang. God I love the engine and exhaust note on this thing, all stock standard but sounds so good.

                • Got the B14's installed today. The ride is pretty firm but had my missus in the car and she said she really couldn't tell the difference. The car handles heaps better and it's decreased the body roll.

The front is lowered to my likeing, about 10mm from the guard to the tyre and I know this is more to do with the additional weight of the engine. However the back has been lowered all the way and but there's about 25-30mm from the guard to the tyre. I'm hopeing that this will settle in about a week. Will post up some pics when it's settled.

                    • Not your typical 'fast' car, and is suprises the hell out of the stupid ricer boys and big boat sedans out there.

Doesnt attract unwanted attention either, which is why i am trying to keep the car as stock looking as possible but be a little ripper on the inside

Small enough to park anywhere but large enough to do everything i need.

My first car on boost and its slightly addictive.

                            • Looks like the Enki's wrapped by Mariangoli's (sp?) he's selling.

Looks awesome mate, I'd thought about the bonnet scoop, but don't have the balls to try and pull it off with my dismal car knowledge.

Keep em coming, its great to see the more alternate builds going on we all envy.
