dude, that dash is absolutly awsome!!
totally in love with it, just love the red stitching!!
GT28RS is imho the best allround turbo for a 1.8 20vt engine.
a bit turbo lag, not to much and when it kicks in you still have more then enough power.

but i bet that his garret GT3071 is a bit to much, don't drive good anymore, to much lag etc.
i guess the best option still is something like a IHI VF34 or Garret GT28RS with around 300 - 350Hp.
what does youre car run?

Fair enough, coming from Australia if we turned upto have our cages inspected and passed we would just be laughed at here but that is only for CAMS events. Car looks good and I am interested to see what results you report with the cage in.Originally posted by Plautos View PostOnce the bend procedure compresses and pulls the tube... its structural integrity will be affected… so I decided to use curves. No big deal.
but the real motive was the lack of the right tool to do the job...
if I had a decent machine for bending the tubes... would be another story

I know... but I´m not going to open a hole in the fire wall! Not now... at least...
Originally posted by Spec83 View PostAs I said above, the front strut towers are best if tied back to firewall/cage, as then the unibody will act as one component... If you don't do this, anything forward of the firewall will react differently to the rest of the car, as it is not as stiff.
NASCAR started doing this back in the 80's, and made great leaps in stiffness of their race cars
