9w7 Bluetooth kits back in stock @ vag-navisystems from spain USD$249 + Post
Not I I installed it on the list before the module even went in
Stuffed if I can get the damn phone menu to come up on my MFD when I press the phone button on the steering wheel though....
Interesting, Ross-tech still hasn't given us a helper file for the steering wheel. Whats the coding for yours?
Its the MFL unit in the central electronics section.
I thought we could only change the function of the microphone button between pause/mute + voice control. Have never never seen anyone successfully change the function of the telephone button.
Hi Readerr0r, 77 was ticked in the CAN Gateway. I think the VW VAG tool at the dealership was the problem. I got a RossTech VCDS and was able to code the 9w7 easily. The problem I have now is it comes up with a fault code saying open circuit on the mike and my iphone recognises the VW PHONE but when I try to pair it, I get a message saying "Make sure PIN code 882827 (code changes every time) is shown on"VW PHONE" "CANCEL" "PAIR" and then I get a message saying Pairing Unsuccessful Make sure VW PHONE is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair.

Fault code means the coding you've entered makes the car expect some new wires somewhere but isn't finding them. Not a massive deal if everything is working. My car might even have the same fault since swapping 9W3 for 9W7.

For those guys with the fault code in VCDS "Telephone Control Module - open circuit" this means it's looking for the 3-button Bluetooth control module in the roof. You need to change the coding of the 77- Telephone module to "Control module - Not installed" to get rid of this error (I think the default is 3-button or something similar).
