9w7 Bluetooth kits back in stock @ vag-navisystems from spain USD$249 + Post

Hi All,

Just an FYI more than anything else. I have been emailing marc from vag-navisystems in spain about a 9w7 bluetooth kit as their website lists them as 399 euro and they would not remove the VAT, but he said hold off a few days and he will list them back up on eBay.

Well I now know why Spain is in the toilet financially as he has indeed listed them on ebay for USD$249 + post

I have been speaking to him about getting a few other things like OPS and what not and he sounds really helpful so that is good. I upgraded to UPS shipping just in case, but i will let everyone know when it comes...

With Bluetooth phone calls, , is there a standard microphone in the car already?
Do you have a link on how to install it? Does it go under the seat?

I thought 9W7 didn't have RSAP (was only 9WZ).

Do you know if this version supports skipping A2DP bluetooth tracks via the HU or MFSW controls?


I might upgrade for that price if it has those features, also since my harness setup doesn't bridge the AUX or Microphone cables

I also sent him a message and he seems like a very reasonable guy he mentioned this is a promotional price and has a few of them available.

This kit is also available for a little more at CarSystems (VW Bluetooth KIT 7P6035730F - Retrofit -). I've asked them if it has the A2DP control features as per my previous post.

If not then I'd be looking at this version: VW Bluetooth KIT 5K0035730E - Retrofit - 7P6035730 Successor


Since there have been a few revisions now I have been waiting to see how many more updates there might be before buying one.


[+] Now that I've hit submit and seen the URL titles it would *appear* that my preferred unit is still the newer of the two, so perhaps the seller is incorrectly trying to convey that his offering is better. It might still be made in 2012, and it might still be a promotional (i.e. clearance) price.

If I had to buy one today based on what I've seen I'd get the 5K0 one. I'm not an expert on it though, and have asked both sellers to help remove the confusion.

I had no idea there were so many different variants. I'm feed safe buying from that eBay guy. I'm sure I've seen his on eBay before priced a lot higher.

Yeah, I've already got the original Premium 9W3 Bluetooth (I never figured there would be newer versions released) so if I'm upgrading I'd be looking for all those little extras. Going from nothing to any one of these premium systems will be excellent in your case. Being able to browse your phone book on the MFD to make calls using nothing but the steering wheel buttons is great.

I don't have A2DP on mine which is a decent feature. Also my harness has rendered AUX-IN useless so there is some merit to upgrading. I've just not had the inspiration to pull the head unit out (again) to have a good look at it. If I had something to stick in there (hurry up MotivAuto) then that would make things easier.

also speaking to him about an OPS kit for the polo, but his price of 799 seems a little high for front and rear given i have seen them on ebay for as low as 399... more investigation is required

OPS is very hard to retrofit, you'll spend just as much for labour, assuming you get it working at all (some haven't). Better off getting a camera if you've got a RCD or RNS510.
