@Lemonskin, those are the parts from the crankcase ventilation mod TPI. Unless they actually found a split pipe to cause an oil leak I think they are using their smoke and mirrors trick again, most people are only getting marginal improvement from that TPI Mod.

I was doing the same test and my oil light came on today at about 600kms! I went straight in. Do not drive it to 1000kms no matter what they say. If your light comes on before 1000 then you obviously have an oil consumption problem and they will just move you onto the hose swap, and then you do another consumption test...
Interestingly I was topping up at about 1300, then 1600 (between fill up and light on) and yet during the consumption test it was 600.
Parts are ordered for my car, I will be having them fitted next week and will report later on what happens...Bury S9 XL cradle for Touch Adaptor for sale: http://tinyurl.com/hgmjc4j

Different dealers I guess... :/
I cant really think that a hose (and a software tweak apparently) will fix the issue with an underlying piston ring problem, but we will see in 1000kms I guess.Bury S9 XL cradle for Touch Adaptor for sale: http://tinyurl.com/hgmjc4j

hi guys, can someone please help..I have a car at dealer today for 60k service and as my car was asking oil every 2k, I asked them to do an oil consumption test..and the guy says to me "its a polo gti, its normal"!!! and he said if the results of the test matches the VW standard specification, I will have to pay the labor and oil etc which will cost me 200$..
do we have to pay for this test?2018 MK7.5 Lapiz Wolf Wagon with Roof

Ask to speak with the dealer principle and ask to be shown the documented evidence that states your oil consumption is normal "because it's a polo GTI". Then, ask where it says in any of the advertising material that it is normal for a polo GTI to consume excessive amounts of oil.
See what happens then.sigpic

Brought my car in for its 5th oil consumption test now (done 10,000kms) and its still losing 700ml per 1000kms..the dealer has advised me there is second updated ventilation valve, air connection pipe and ventilation hose for the engine which will decrease the use of oil...has anyone had this done to their car yet?
This will be the second attempt at changing the hose etc..hope it works this time as I am getting sick of having to bring it in all the time for an oil top up!
Gavs..what exactly is Fuchs?
Thanks
Scott
Just an update on my car....brought it in a month ago for the "new and improved" hoses etc but it still lost a litre per 1000kms so brought it back in on Monday for an engine replacement. Picking up the car today so hopefully the problem is gone!
Got a question though..I asked the dealer what my new engine number will be and she said that it would be exactly the same!!! How come? I thought they would have changed the engine from a CTHE to a Cave engine therefore, should be a new number???
Any thoughts?
Cheers
