Does anyone know how long it is after placing an order at the dealer before the order is actually placed with VGA/VAG?

Mine hasn't budged from dealer spec in 7 months. VWA "help" line says speak to your dealer and don't bother calling us. Dealer says we'll tell you when the status changes.Originally posted by GTI mk6 View Post

It seems that sometime about April-May 2011 delivery times on GTI's blew way out.

Meant to be a bit damp tomorrow mate, when you take the run through the main ridge area, she can get a bit greasy, even in the dry coz of all the farm run-off, as I found out once.....

*I've had a smile on my face for the past 24 hours!! *The car is just as much fun as I remember. Friday had perfect weather for the run in. I went around Red Hill and did the running in procedures there and it was so much fun. Sports mode is just too good!
I took run up Arthurs Seat as well and on the way down I did notice a noise / shudder as I breaking hard and took a corner. I was in Manual mode of the gearbox so I don't know if the car was just confused. Anyone experienced that?? I felt it through the brake peddle.*
The car was perfect inside and out when I picked it up although the parking sensors were all scratched up so they are going to fix it. Some other things I've noted that don't seem to be working:
- Auto locking of doors doesn't happen after 15km/h
- Optical Parking Sensors don't come up on the RCD-510 screen so they need to fix that
Other questions I had:
- Does the climate control details come up on the RCD-510? It does in the Amarok but that's the RNS-510.*
- Can the coming home lights feature be turned on?
All in all, very happy so far! *Still getting used to the DSG in Drive mode (just not as responsive off the mark) so I think the sports mode will be used for while! *
Let's hope the running in helps the oil consumption but the dealer told me to come back at any time and they will top up the oil if need be.*

I received my VIN number from the dealer today, however I am having no luck on the W&W shipping/tracking site. It just says "No records found".
