Grats snedden9485!Thanks guys for calming me crazy I was just concerned seeing other people on forums having build dates and whether my contract was just laying in a pile somewhere and not entered in the system properly but I'm sure that's not the case. Yeah I was hoping to see a NADCON screen dump or something more solid for me to believe in rather than just my name, some order ID and Ordered. Don't get me wrong I know I'm in for a 12 month wait! I just hope it doesn't become more than that.. haha and it doesn't help that nobody around me even understands the concept of waiting for a build date.. or that my car doesn't exist yet -.- they all buy cars in stock or used.Yes I have been following you, GTI Joe and Frostee through this thread! haha although I think I missed all the dealer trouble at the start. Have you managed that test drive yet Ralfi, or are you thinking of placing an order in a year? Personally, I love the black, previously owned a black SUV, just forever washing it, and when it comes to GTI colours.......well let's just say there's not a heap to chose from now is there?

Haven't tested one yet. I'm one who likes to wait a bit for most things (so as the bugs all get sorted out), so I may be in the market in about a year or so.

Sound advice....... held out for 6 mths......but being in the market for a second replacement car and not finding anything else in the new car selection that we really liked, it was time to stop procrastinating and just do it LOL

Yep....that's her. The Melbourne Ports website shows up as her being docked. I can see a ship on the webcams but the quality is so poor that I can't tell if it's her.

Hope it won't be long now....my friend bought a Ford Focus recently and it only took a week from landing to pickup from the dealership!

Problem is that I still haven't sold my current car and I received the rego renewal last night. Plus the upcoming yearly service. Insurance isn't so bad....I'll just change it to monthly. I know that I can get a refund if I pay yearly but don't want to have to pay a full year's insurance only to wait for the refund. Sometimes I can't be bothered with it and just want to trade her in....

I love new cars but I hate the fact that you get hit with rego, insurance and servicing at one go.

A week would be awesome for me as I have next Mon/Tue off work but I know its not going to work out like that...

And I am in the same boat as you with current car. Rego due early July. I really don't want to have to do rego again but its looking very likely I will have to. Don't know whether to just trade it in or hold out for some extra money from a private sale.

The main thing is the new one is on the ground tho... unloaded at 2330 last night

i'm pretty sure it means it's been cleared through customs and is now with the pre-delivery people?
mine was 'delivered from' on the 30/05 and didn't get to my dealer for another week, picked her up on the 07/06..

hopefully it's a bit quicker for you!

Mine was "DELIVERED FROM" on 16/6, last Thursday, so that means I may have the car by the end of the week.

I've checked the tracking website and it shows up with my vehicle as

Location: Melbourne
Date: 09-06-2011
Time: 10:50:48

Does anyone know what Liner Release means? The Boheme actually arrived in Melbourne on 17 June and left for Port Kembla on 18 June. From what I recall, on 9 June the Boheme was on the way from Durban to Freo.

Liner release is a paper work step. It doesn't mean the status of your car has changed...

Dealer just told me mine will be on the way from Europe on the 11th June. Not long now.....
