Thanks mate, It's a great colour but I don't think it suits 5dr for some reason, only 3dr.

Yeah I went a little quiet pre-delivery, I was worried if i got too excited it might get delayed or something . Worked out well because then the polo was able to surprise me on the way home.

You're very welcome interesting that SB doesn't suit 5dr?
Do you think it's because of the side profile....front doors being longer on the 3 dr?
Makes me feel better now then (mine being 5 dr) cause I keep looking at your SB with a tinge of envy now haha.
Showed my other half (hubby)...yeah I'm a female forum fanatic wanting to learn all I can.....he was also impressed with the colour choice.

I would be very interested to see the colour with no sun on it, imagine it would be fairly dark?

Broke it in on Mt Tambourine with a mate and I had a smile from ear to ear, excellent drive!
Shadow blue is an amazing colour, the red GTI piping pops really well.

Also I don't mind the touch adapter (which I was dreading), you dont lose any functionality connecting to it instead of the 9W7. I just enabled sleep mode so it shuts down 15 seconds later and turned the illumination down to minimum.

EDIT: Scratch that I hate it, it cut out the audio on the iPhone. But i've got a hack to fix it

I do work around there, but I wasn't on that specific street. You'll actually find it parked at the Woolloongabba Busway during the week

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks the Shadow Blue rocks! Wish I had been able to wait to get that colour, In the flesh, even more convincing!

Don't let anyone tell you it's "Old Man Blue" ( nods to gavs ). They're just jealous!

I could have had a GTI in 6 weeks when
I started looking but once I saw the colour it just looked bland, sorry. That photo is looking drastically over exposed though so it does look lighter.Congrats on the purchase though don't let my personal preference diminish it for you

Thats just the QLD sun my friend, but I don't mind . Colour is a personal choice and I think it's a bit cruel how most car brochures just show you the tiniest section and they're just fairly inaccurate photoshops.

LOL at Gavs Grandpa comment! I reckon this colour rocks and cant wait to get mine too, and i agree the 5 dr looks bad in this colour from what ive seen. I will do pics of mine in the Sydney Sun when it lands... will be a few shades darker I guess LOL

Got another snap of my baby. Detailed her myself using Duragloss 111 (two coats) as recommended by CCP. Considering maybe another coat. I like the sealant and the gloss so far, but do you guys have any suggestions for sealants or waxes that gives even more pop to the candy white?

CCP recommended Duragloss or Nanolex sealant (re Golf), steered me towards sealants as opposed to waxes - due to colour.

Edit update; forgot to add, I went for the Nanolex because it lasted longer.....plus now use the Nanolex shampoo which is great.

I did some editing to the photo as a whole but no particular touching up the car.
CCP also recommended the same thing to me with the sealants. I was initially going to go with nanolex but they said duragloss would do the same job for much less. So I'm quite glad you noticed the shine hehe
