The traffic data is great in combination with the nav map in the dash. It's only like 1 setting.
The sign recognition is OK but not brilliant thanks to crap signage standards here in WA. It recognises speed signs just fine but will also pick up any miss placed signs (left out roadworks signs), so you can't really use the speed warning feature. I had to change 3 different parameters but it's not hard.
Needle sweep is just for a bit of fun, but looks cool. Also quite easy to change.
Tigger is right about the start/stop except that you can't set it to 14 v (well you can't in mine) but setting it to 12v seems to do the trick.
If your VCDS cable worked in your 2015 car then it will work in this. The OBD port in these cars is a little tight, it took a bit to get my adaptor in.
A word of caution about non-genuine VCDS adaptors. I've seen ECU's get bricked by dodgy cables so I would only recommend a genuine vag-com cable which is a little pricey.
Anyone in WA is welcome to hit me up and id be happy to configure the various features/parameters @ our weekly cars and coffee meet. For the over east guys, send me a PM and I don't mind lending you my cable, you'd just have to cover the costs of freight and it's return freight.
Oh and I can't take credit for working it out myself. This website helped with a lot, except a few things are named differently. Passat (3G) | Ankk-Vagcom
