Over the holidays,I enabled the rain closing function in the new Tig in Module 19 and the sub RLS module and tested the closing function and all went well. However I am unable to disable the function permanently using the buttons on the steering wheel & MFD. I removed the keys from the ignition and when I rechecked the convenience menu the function had re activated itself. Tried it again with the wiper stalk set to off position and still no luck. Anybody out there with the same problem?

There are two RLS settings in VCDS, you might need to disable one of them. Why do you want it turned off?

Just wanted to check that I could switch it on & off using the MFD option just as you would switch on & off the other options available in the convenience & lights & vision sub menus.

What are the 2 RLS settings? I activated bits 5 & 6 in byte 4 and another bit in one of the bytes in the RLS sub module selectable from the BCM 19 module main page.MY 21 T Cross 85TSI Life| Makena Turquoise | Driver Assist Package |

iirc one tickbox adds the option to the MFD and the other turns it on - perhaps you have to undo the 2nd one???

 Good day all
Came across this while trawling through the Vortex VCDS Forum looking for Tig autoscans and found this courtsey of "Tim S" May come in handy if someone accidentally plays with Byte 18 in their #9 BCM module

Here are all of the Tiguan values for Byte 18:

 2F | VW Tiguan (VW316) | Halogen/Xenon | RoW | TFL_0
 30 | VW Tiguan (VW316) | Halogen/Xenon | RoW | TFL_S
 50 | VW Tiguan (VW316) | Halogen/Xenon | NAR | TFL_1
 51 | VW Tiguan (VW316) | Halogen/Xenon | NAR | TFL_S
 8A | VW Tiguan (VW316/416) | Halogen/Xenon | RoW/Ska | TFL_1_Ska

TFL_0: TFL mit NSL u. RFL (daytime running lights and rear fog light, reversing light)
TFL_1: mit TFL TFL-Outputs (daytime running lights with daytime running light outputs)
TFL_S: TFL Skandinavien Abblendlicht m (daytime running lights via Scandinavia low beam lights)MY 21 T Cross 85TSI Life| Makena Turquoise | Driver Assist Package |

RCD510 radio coding for Tiguans and Staging for Facelift MY2012+ Tiguans

Anybody who has a module 10 rear assist installed in their Tig may want to check their coding. Byte 6 can now be configured to show a graphic display of specific VW models, Typically this value was set as 05. The latest version of VCDS has a pull down menu and shows the Tiguan value is 0C.

Secondly to improve sound quality I have adjusted the frequency response in byte 5 to 04 (Skoda Superb 3T) from the default value of 00. You will notice the difference if you adjust it while the radio is playing a high quality mp3 track

My current RCD 510 coding which also has RVC is as follows

 0100044004040C

I am not sure about if these options are applicable in the RNS510 units.

Finally thanks to some pioneering by Wynnston I can confirm Staging works on what appears to be all facelifted MY13 Tiguans. This is activated in a similar proceedure to that done on Golf GTi's & R's but instead of clicking on staging you click on "indicator celebration" instead.

Module 17 >UDS Adaption 10 menu> select channel "indicator celebration"> change stored value from no to yes>and then select "do it" to save the setting and exit VCDSLast edited by Bambazonke; 12-08-2013, 08:08 PM.MY 21 T Cross 85TSI Life| Makena Turquoise | Driver Assist Package |

Has anyone been able to enable the needle sweep function?

I've had a look but can't seem to be able to activate the setting.

The option is under 17 instruments >> 10 adaption >> staging

However when I go into staging it comes up with some sort of error message so I'm guessing that function isn't supported in my instrument cluster... either that or my cheap micro-CAN cable isn't able to do all the functions (though I actually suspect it's the cluster).

For some reason it's not called staging on some cars, it's under "indicator presentation" or something like that.

I managed to get it to work under that, staging just doesn't have any options in VCDS for me.MY17 206 R-Line Passat Sedan, Pure White, Sunroof | Spectune STG1 | VWR 600 Intake, TMD, Inlet Elbow | Res Delete

Hmmm - went and had another look this morning and all I can find is "staging" and when I select this it comes up with "Error - unavailable" . Any idea where you found this option? Had a look in a few other modules other than 17 Instruments but couldn't see anything.Originally posted by Wynnston View PostHey Tigger,

I have been able to run a "test" and get the needles to sweep but can't find an option to do this on start-up.

Cluster Staging / Celebration: (aka the needles dance / gauge sweep)
 Instruments ----> Adaptation
Select "indicator_celebration" from the drop down list
Select "Active" from the lower drop down list

On another note, has anyone worked out how to do a DSG Basic Settings on the DQ500 with a procedure on the test run?

I've been APR'ed and the transmission was a little bitchy about the tune for the first bit, now it seems to have everything right except for gear changes at around 2700-3100rpm under moderate acceleration, that part is still quite bucky.MY17 206 R-Line Passat Sedan, Pure White, Sunroof | Spectune STG1 | VWR 600 Intake, TMD, Inlet Elbow | Res Delete
