Tiguan VCDS Coding Options

That was one of the first things I wanted to do when I got my car a year ago - still haven't found a solution. Even tried changing the rest of my units to miles.

My wife has a MY12 Tiguan with comfort pack and RDS310 radio. When she changes her dual zone climate a display appears on the radio showing what's happening.
I have same car but no comfort pack so only 1 zone air con and RDS310. I don't have air con info on radio. Can this be coded? I'm about to update my radio to an ANS-810 with 8" touchscreen. It can show dual zone climate info and it would be nice to get my single zone air con displayed.

I'm pretty sure DkN said the ANS810 would only display climatronic info and nothing for the basic temperature controls.

It won't be automatically displayed.
The single zone aircon does not put out the correct info onto the bus therefore it does not appear on the RCD310
Hence my question if there is some VCDS coding that wil make it happen, ie can you make the single zone aircon put out the info, maybe as 2 seperate but identical zones of info....

The 'fault' is not with the RCD310 nor the ANS-810.
Its the single zone climate that does not put out the info....at least thats the theory I'm working on.

I have looked for this option using VCDS when I upgraded to an RCD510 recently. Unfortunately there was nothing. I am sure if it was possible Ross Tech would have listed it as a tweak by now.

No ... that's essentially fixed with a firmware flash via DVD drive.

Go to the Audio sub-forum and the sticky threads for further info.

The latest firmware version posted up (FW 4020) on the sub-forum also includes this VIM enabled mod.

But definitely you need to do some reading up to decide whether you want to upgrade to SW 4020.

Or try and find the thread and post that contains the link to the modified FW 3970 (which your Tig should be on) with VIM enabled.

Yes AFAIK ... should be text file in the root directory called VERSION.

Hi I have been asked to tweak a 2010 TIguan with the white MFD and was wondering which Byte/bit adaption? I need to activate the static cornering light function via the high beam?

In the old red MFD models with a separate module 46, this option was available in a drop down menu in module "09 Central Electronics" "Byte 23" "Bit 3-4" that gives you 00 Turn Lights not active, 08 Turn Lights Via Fog Lights, 10 Turn Lights via High Beam and 18 Turn lights via Xenon Shutter.

Secondly has anyone managed to activate the auto closing of the windows in the new 09 module? In the 08 09 Tiguans that had the old 46 module that had 19 bytes it was activated at Byte 6 bit 6.
