Mk2 Tiguan VCDS Tweaks

I did the battery charge mod yesterday. Said it accepted it but when I do the hold the button down i get a copyright message instead of the Battery level.

Any ideas ???????????

I’m also fairly sure that once it gets down to lower distance (1000/500km) the car just wont start! How’s that for emissions compliance.

Good news is that you can buy any adblue and fill it yourself. So it’s not a big expense.

I wonder if it can be coded out(ignoring emissions morals/rules) by our diy devices. I know it can be done by various tuning providers.

I don't want to remove it. Just reduce the reminder. 2500km come on really? Don't need to see and hear this everytime I start the car.

Yes Qld. Australia. Air con will definitely stays longer than 30 seconds. Definitely better than switching everything off.

Jeromeo is from OS (fairly sure), perhaps it’s useful for their climate. I recall reading in the manual that it’s best for heating the cabin (as mentioned above)

Just use the rest function in the AC.
It will keep AC blowing cool air for a little while even with ignition off.

This won’t be effective at all. Makes sense to use it during the winter season as the car can blow the hot air for a while, but with air con off during summer, blowing cold air won’t last longer than 30 seconds.

Didn’t even think of the rest function. Will give it a try, cheers.

Wish we had remote start for the air con during summer. I used OBD11 to allow the car to lock with the engine running using the key fob. I go into the bakery and pick the kids up from child care and use that feature to keep the car cool.

From above seems thats illegal in vic. Oops.

Not only in Vic yet I locked my Cruiser with Turbo timer going and wandered away and a cop was parking nearby and never said anything
But the Nazis in Vic may have other ideas. In the short time you would be away it wont get that hot though
