    Anyone else have the D-link 2900AL modem/router?
Is the D-link using auto-channels or did you have them configured manually?
Could be that it's using a channel that the tablet does not recognize depending on it's original region.
Can you download a wi-fi scan app or something on the tablet?
As it can be online using your mobile phone as a hot-spot, maybe you can have your mobile phone connect to your wi-fi at home and then share through BT the wi-fi to the tablet?

Any chance you can test with these long codings?
I have gone through and compared the long codes between the A3, Sharp's Tig and my Tig as well. Most of the differences are explained by the different make, model, type and origin of car as well as different features like TSR and Light Assist being enabled. There are only a couple differences left that I can tell exactly what they are. At this stage not too keen to randomly enable long coding without seeing coding from a Tiguan with TJA working as it is a bit too risky copying from an A3. I also think there will be some differences in the Adaption Channels as well that will need to be compared first.

On a side note, the hardware version (H06) is the same for them all and both the A3 and Sharp's are running same software version (0231). Mine on the other hand is running 0271, which is the same as Hugo_nz.

Hugo_nz, any chance you can send through a copy of your backups of module A5 and 44 for me to have a look at?

Ok, i've asked for the adaptation channels. As soon as they come in, I will send them to you. (by personal message or through this topic?)
I don't know anyone with a working TJA on a Tiguan, any chance there is someone on this forum?
Otherwise I can ask my dealer if he has a Tiguan with TJA and borrow that one for a test spin . But this will take a lot of time as I don't have the tools to collect the long codings stuff so I need to arrange with other people.

You can PM me with them if you want. Hugo_nz has got TJA on his after the dealer did an update so hoping he can send me through a copy of his scans when he can.

Would you please tell me how to do that?

My suggestion is to login to the modem and look at the wifi settings and if the channel is set to auto for the 2.4Ghz try changing it to 6 or 7. I have seen it where if the channel is set too high or low some wifi modules can't see it properly. Channel 6 or 7 is pretty safe channel that everything should be able to see.

You sir are a bloody champ, it worked! I can finally deactivate the wretched auto stop/start!

Addit: Well that was premature, downloaded the app via the email but now the tablet can't open it. Is it because I've already downloaded it on the old tablet?
Addit again: Looks like the Google Play store had the program I had installed last time. Came up as "Car Diagnostics Pro VAG OBD2" by Voltas IT. Hopefully this is the actual program and not some trojan. Will see tomorrow morning.

                      • Me and my girlfriend use different keys with our own driverprofiles/settings. Is it possible to do some coding, to activate memory for the door mirrors. It would be nice if they adjusts automatic, depending on driver/profile.

                        Sorry for my bad english.

                          They already do this automatically.

                              Try this.

                              Get your keys.
Opening the door from locked "should" then set the seat and side mirrors to "your" last setting.
If it doesn't then set the seat and mirrors to where you want them. Start the car and ensure you are listed as the driver in the driver profile.
Using the procedure in the manual, then use the buttons on the seat to assign these settings to one of the presets. You should hear a chime if you've done this correctly.
Now get out of your car and lock it.
                              Get your G/Fs keys.
Open the door and, once again, it should set the seat and mirrors to her settings. If it doesn't go through the exact same process as per above to set her settings to a preset on the seat buttons.
Then get out and lock the car with her key.
Open it up with your keys and it should now go to your settings.
One thing I've noticed with the VW that is different to my Audi, that I'd been familiar with, is that the memory function doesn't seem to work unless the car had been previously locked. If a new driver opens the door without it being actually locked first it doesn't register the second driver.
Pushing the preset button on the seat though will set the seat and mirrors to the setting associated with that preset.
During all of this only have one key on you at any time. Put one key some distance away while doing this process with the other key. If the car sees two keys it will get all confused as it won't know which one to reference.
I had issues with my drivers seat not remembering settings. A VCDS scan revealed that it was missing its basic initialisation settings. Doing this initialisation process with VCDS didn't help. It wouldn't keep the settings.
I took the car to the dealer and they had the same problem. They had to do a firmware update of the convenience module. They said there was a bulletin out about it and they had seen this problem before.
Only other thing I can think of is to make sure you're not missing something in the driver convenience settings. I'm in Dubai at the moment and can't check it for you.
